Thursday 9 April – Mildura to Chinaman’s Creek (near Port Augusta)

Long day’s drive. Caught out (again!) with having to scoff down all our fruit at the SA/VIC border. Saw the giant orange. Camped at a very basic bush camp along the bay about 20km south of Port Augusta. Watched the moon rise up over the mountains as the sun set over the bay behind us. Quite spectacular.
The kids did a star jump photo for me with the flinders ranges in the background. Lara decided she would be a tree.
