We left early the next morning for a day on the road. We experienced our first taste of Australian fauna. Foxes, wombats, rosellas and heaps of kangaroos. The fact they were all dead on the side of the road enabled a much clearer view. There were other animals too, just a tad too squished to identify. Possible pussy cats.
We drove as far as Darlington Park, where we pulled off into a bush camp on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. Very peaceful and secluded spot.
